Thanks to them who makes my birthday celebrations special especially for the last two years because it was always exam period. Everyone has to manage the stress from tight study schedule and making an effort to celebrate my birthday (deviate from what MT wrote in the booklet..heeheehee).

***Memory Lane***

Calling for all UOL Family!!!

I remember I was on my way to the Airport last month feeling excited over my first holiday after so many years (hmm..the last one I had was with my UOL family to Genting and KL..so quite long liao loi)

Holiday means A day free from work that one may spend at leisure, especially a day on which custom or the law dictates a halting of general business activity to commemorate or celebrate a particular event.

I think all of us deserve a holiday and I really miss the holiday we had... Shall we all go to another holiday after E-lin's birth and Xueli's wedding... Steven u dun last min tell us you getting married end of this year ok... heeheehee or else shall we go for another chalet outing?

Everyone please response!!!

*********************************************************************
SPECIALLY DELICATED TO E-LIN!!!

Share with all of you another thing... it is going to be one year still I start blogging...
Really thanks to Elin inviting me to come to this place to "throw" and "paste" happy and sad memories in here....XIE XIE elin mei mei:)

This is also good place where the group of us kept each other informed what is happening since we started to move out from the common area that we used to share. Although some of us only update the blog when we are FREE (really very free then will do) but at least some updates are done... [I am also one of them]...

Happy Blogging everyone... COme On everybody Say Something...

Overspending & Growing Fatter!!!!

Hmm... Before Singapore Sales starts, I am broke.

I have been spending money on food and entertainment after my trip; which i did not really buy a lot of things for myself... but i really dun know where my money goes too which is more dangerous... I need a big HIT on my head!!! I better start savings if not I dun think I can go for my second holiday for this year which I really wish I could...

Beside pocket is burning hole...I am growing fatter and fatter... Thanks to all my good friends coz I am receiving bd treats. Well, have to eat lesser next month loi.

I think when we grow older...presents get lesser and makan session increased..... Sigh:( But I still prefer presents but it will cause either friends to spend bomb on the presents or have to keep asking.."What do you want this year?" and it is not the price of the present is whether friends do understand your needs... hmm that's just merely "fa lau siao"...

My Numerology Portrait

Shirlyn's Soul Number is SEVEN.

Deep, serious, introspective, and analytical, you accept nothing at face value, and you are always probing into the hidden side or deeper meaning of situations and people. You are fascinated by the mysterious and unknown. You enjoy periods of solitude in peaceful surroundings, and need time to study, reflect, or meditate. You may be given to much daydreaming and flights of the imagination as well. The ocean has a powerful attraction for you. The study of philosophy, psychology, scientific research, metaphysics, or religion appeals to you. You are scientific in your approach to Truth.

Private, reserved, and rather secretive, there are probably very few who truly know and understand your inner thoughts, feelings, hopes, and aspirations. Unless you learn to share your deeper self more freely, and to be less of an idealistic perfectionist, you may be rather lonely.

My Taiwan Trip (24 - 30 April 06)

This is my first time to have such a long holiday and without any family members going with me...

It was a fun and a learning trip...

At 5pm,I had to wake up and make my way to the Airport. I reach Airport ard 5.45am and had my breakfast @ Burger King. At 6.20am, I meet up the tour leader and join the queue to check in my baggage. Feeling excited and eager, I rec my boarding pass.

After 4 hrs of flight, I reach Taipei liao. Without prior notice, the itinerary was changed. Instead of staying at Taipei first, we head for Pu Li right after visiting Tamshui old street and Fisherman's Wharf. I grabbed some "xiao chi" and it taste great. After that we headed to Pu Li, we reached there quite late around dinnertime.

Wake up ard 6am coz cant sleep beoc of the bed I guess. I bathed then my gf took her bath. We went to had our breakfast then we head for our a brewery, peacock farm
, Wenwu Temple, Sun Moon Lake and Aboriginal village. I was dress up as their princess but I am too fat liao. I think to slim down!!!

After lunch, we head for Kaohsiung. We reach ard 7.30pm and before our dinner we went for a ride in the "Love River" then we had our dinner. After that, we went for our 1st night market which called "xxx" I forgotten liao...ke ke ke

After shopping, we head for our hotel... bath and finally crawl into my bed... I just knocked off without much notice to my gf...

Rise and shine at 7am, pulled myself to the bathroom and bath... out to the hotel lobby for my breakfast. Everyday is like moving house but it is quite fun. Once I got into the bus, i almost fall asleep but my tour mates are making fun and joking just dun let me sleep so I pulled myself up and joined in the FUN (typical me, got play can dun sleep)... we went to the Spring & Autumn Pavilions , Dragon & Tiger Pagodas then we had our lunch at the Fou Kuan Shan... After lunch, we make our way up the steep and tiring path up the monastery.

Around 5plus, we start to make our way to the TaiTung to visit the famous Taroko Gorge and then to Hualien for the Hotspring bath... It is very nice to be in the hotspring.. the temp is around 40 degree... I had a good bath after that and had a very good sleep. The hotspring bath shd gain the credit.

Doesnt enjoy the breakfast at all coz I want to sleep more but still have to eat... After breakfast we head for Zhao Feng Farm. Along the way, we stopped over for the marble factory, Swallow Caves, Spring Shrine and etc.

I love my stay in Zhao Feng Farm, most of the tour mates didnt sleep. They all gathered outside my house... Ya it is a house. We had our supper, drinks and t-bits and chit chat all the way till 2am then we go back to our house.

Wake up at 5am, we bath and went for our breakfast at 6am. We had to rent the car to tour the farm before 8am. Lucky that I brought my driving liciense so that we can rent the car. Managed to drive the car and enjoyed it very much. Times files. By noon, we have to leave the Farm for train station.

Taking train from Hualien to Taipei. The bus driver had a head start of 1 hr 30min while the rest of us take our lunch. We took a 2pm train and the train ride is fun. My 1st experience on train is wonderful. We reach around 5plus. We went to Chiufen for the famous sweet potato soup and the beautiful scenery. Although it is raining but it doesnt affect our mood. After that we went to Hualien to check in the hotel. We had to take our own dinner so we went to a nearby night market to eat the local delights.

Today, I am going to visit the famous Ye-Liu Scenic Area which stretches 1700m into the sea and contains bewildering variety of rock formations. Never underestimates NATURE... Thereafter, we have to take a bus ride to Taipei. We went for a Ami Aboriginal Cultural show and head back to hotel. Everyone dun feel like sleeping so asking me whether got any program. So after discussing with the tour leader, we suggest to go their ye dian... We dance till 2am and head back to our hotel.

So fast it reached the 6th day in Taiwan, we went to Mirama Ferries Wheel Shopping Mall, CKS memorial Hall, Ximenting 101 world building and Shilin Night market. I suggest that we go home on our own and indeed most of them agreed with me so we walk the night market till 1am. However, after we bath and fin packing. We bought wine and t-bits and gathered at my room to play and drink. We didnt sleep at all and so we went for our breakfast at 6.30am.

At 10.30am, we reached the Airport and managed to take a few group photos at the Airport.

I had gain a lot of experience and also had gained some knowledge about Taiwan. Despite the heavy schedule and insufficient sleep. I miss the days in Taiwan.

Yippee Yippee... Money well spent and good memories and experience are found.
